SLCC now has access to
FeedbackFruits, which is an all-in-one suite
of tools that promote interactivity and
engagement in online courses. All of the tools
have a similar look and feel, but they focus
on different aspects of engagement within a
course, and are organized in groups of
discussion tools, assessment tools, and social
annotation tools.
Accessing FeedbackFruits in
Canvas
The best way to add FeedbackFruits to
your course is as an assignment. Once you
create an assignment, change the
submission type to External Tool, and
click Find.
After you click Find, scroll
down to FeedbackFruits to open up the Tool
Picker.
Select your tool and you can get
started.
You can also use the module menu to
add a FeedbackFruits activity to your
course, but that option does not pass a
grade to your gradebook. For more
information about how to get started, visit the following link:
What kinds of tools are available
to use?
We can group FeedbackFruits into
three different types of tools:
Assessment, Social Annotation, and
Discussion. Here I will link both promotional material introducing the tool as well as a help document showing you how to use it.
There are a lot of different tools to use, and it can be overwhelming. We suggest picking one to incorporate into your courses, and then branching out into others from there. Fortunately they all function similarly.
