Sometimes, like anything online, Kaltura has some issues.
Browser:
Kaltura Capture:
Double-clicking on the application on your computer does not
sync your Kaltura credentials with Canvas. You MUST launch it through Canvas in
your My Media folder.
If your videos are not uploading after you click on “Save
and Upload”, you probably need to leave Kaltura Capture up and running as it
uploads in the background.
You can always re-upload a video if it didn’t upload by
clicking on “Manage” at the bottom right corner of the Kaltura Capture
interface. This is also where the video goes if you just click on “Save” after
making your video.
For the “Failure to Load Settings” message, uninstall Kaltura Capture
and reinstall it.
For persistent Access Denied warnings:
You will need to reset your Kaltura token in Canvas.
- Within Canvas, click on "Account" in the upper main left
navigation.
- Click "Settings" in the menu that appears.
- Scroll down to the section called "Approved Integrations"
and click the trash can icon next to any app in the list with the word
“Kaltura” in it.
- Enter the course where you were experiencing the "Access
Denied" issue and either click on "My Media" or "Media
Gallery."
- Click
to authorize Kaltura. A new token will be created.
- Attempt to view the media again.
