Though students will always find a way to thwart even our most carefully worded syllabi, applying best practices from professional onboarding can reduce and even eliminate some of the difficulties that arise from classroom management. This presentation will discuss several principles--including Smart Brevity, user interfaces, and just-in-time resources--to help your students adjust quickly to the expectations and requirements of your course.
