SLCC has created the DesignPLUS User Credential to help you create and style engaging, organized, professional-looking content without requiring any HTML or CSS experience.
Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about the DesignPLUS User Credential.

Why do we need a DesignPLUS User Credential at SLCC?

The DesignPLUS User Credential walks you through the tools available to you using the DesignPLUS Sidebar. CidiLabs (the creators of the DesignPLUS Sidebar) does offer trainings. However, in this credential course you will create Canvas pages using the DesignPLUS Sidebar and receive feedback on your work. Receiving feedback and being held accountable for your work will help motivate you as you learn.

Who should earn the DesignPLUS User Credential?

The DesignPLUS User Credential may be completed by any faculty or staff member interested in learning how to use the DesignPLUS Sidebar to improve the look and feel of their Canvas courses.

This course is designed for those ready to embrace technology. If you found the Canvas User Credential challenging, consider reaching out to eLearning for a consultation to enhance the design and functionality of your Canvas course. Remember, you’re an expert in your field, and we’re experts in ours—you don’t need to be both. While mastering the Sidebar isn’t necessary to enjoy its benefits, you can still explore its full potential if you’re interested. If you’re eager to dive deeper into this tool, this credential is here to guide you.
